Bear and Pinnacle Lake (Pond) ~ 6.8 miles

The book did not quite mention the FSR being washed out 1.5 miles from the trailhead..adding another 3 miles to the day. It was good that Greg and I were not aware of this fact as we would have probably been obliged to wake even earlier than our already set time of 5:30 AM ! 

After the before mentioned forest road hike, the trailhead began in earnest with switchbacks leading up under the canopy to many a downed tree and spots of near blinding overgrowth punctuated by the frequent clothes-hanging of spiderwebs and other insects.

 A celebration of a fantastic day was held afterwards with the largest iced latte's you ever saw.
