Mt. Washington ~ 4 miles ~ Ele gain 1600

Today I surprised myself by being unprepared. Rain. I didn't have rain pants. My pants were wet from the get go. I thought about turning around several times but found the energy and desire to continue forward. The rain then turned to snow as we gained elevation. Our destination was the "Owl Hike Spot" There is a story behind the name but I forget what it is. I'm adding this mountain to my bucket list. 12 miles round trip. I'm also adding a rain poncho to my emergency kit. I left my camera behind in the car but thankfully my dad brought his. JoJann also joined me today but only with the bribe of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We were both wet soggy frozen popsicles by the end.

After my shower and nap, it's time to throw a line in. Opening day!
