Coal Creek Sandstone Falls - 4 miles
A quick two hour hike is just what the doctor ordered. This trail seems to go by many names so we’ll just call it Sandstone Falls. It’s been closed since Oct. of last year and just recently opened. You could smell the wood of the new bridges. The Primrose trail posted a “trail closed” sign but we continued on anyway. It was ok with the exception of a small area of muddy erosion. We went past the waterfall and did the big loop back to the main trail. Banda had a snafu with a down tree. She then favored her bad leg a little and thus much guilt is felt. The last thing I want is to hinder her recovery. It’s raining as I write this so I’m glad we got out to enjoy the sunshine while it lasted.
