I can’t decide whether I enjoy photography or hiking more. Lucky for me, I can do both at the same time. "

Talapus Lake - 4.5 miles
Equipped with an ice ax and rope we headed off into the backcountry. Ok, not really, but it was a chance to say goodbye to winter and celebrate JoJann's birthday, cupcakes and all.
Once we got off the freeway, it was 2.5 miles to the trailhead. We never saw it but got real close! It was snow the entire way. Good thing our goal was to snow shoe! I wish I knew I loved this years ago.
