Comet Falls in Mt. Rainier Natl Park. 2 miles. Ele 1600

We got a late start and stopped for lunch at the National Inn for some french fries. This was a pre-birthday celebration for Jill. 10 hours on the road and in breath taking nature. I'm in complete awe. It snowed and rained. We passed two old ladies on the trail. They appeared to be in their 90's. When we asked how much farther it was, they replied with "not much"! It was getting dark as we walked another 45 minutes. Our destination was still not in sight. What does "not much" mean to a 90 year old? We gave up and headed to Paradise for some hot chocolate. We already plan to return in the Spring.
